With over two decades at Bloomberg, John was positioned at the heart of the global conference circuit, earning a reputation as one of the most trusted moderators and anchors for high-level discussions. He has guided plenary panels at the world’s most influential gatherings — from the World Economic Forum in Davos to policy-driven forums hosted by the European Union.

During his Bloomberg TV years (1997–2015), John led live coverage of major international summits including 3GSM, Cable Congress, and CeBit, across key European hubs such as Cannes, Barcelona, and Berlin. His relocation to Asia in 2010 expanded his reach, where he became a sought-after moderator for organizations including Barclays, BAFTA, AVCJ, CASBAA, the Asia-Pacific Conference (APK) of German Business, ASIFMA, and The American Chamber of Commerce’s China Conference.

Since leaving Bloomberg in 2015, John has continued to be in demand on the global stage, valued for his ability to distill complex issues and keep audiences engaged. From 2021 to 2023, he served as the retained Lead Anchor for Credit Suisse’s Asia Investment Conference, further cementing his reputation as the go-to moderator for influential conversations. Since moving to the U.S. in 2024, John continues to headline industry events, including opening the GlobalAlts Miami 2025 conference with a keynote fireside interview featuring Howard Marks, Chairman of Oaktree Capital; interviewing famed U.S. pollster Nate Silver for Citi’s North America Investor Conference; and hosting numerous panels for The Economic Club of Miami.

In addition to his professional work, John is a dedicated supporter of philanthropic causes. He has hosted and emceed events for The Prince’s Trust, GGEF Sustainability Forum, Habitat for Humanity, Just Challenge/Laureus Sport, and Kids4Kids in Hong Kong—where in 2017, his efforts helped raise HK$4.8 million at their annual gala.
